“Great stay and Rapa Nui is an amazing place to visit”
The property was nice and we enjoyed our stay. Walking to the airport is easy, but the hosts offer a lift, which is handy if you have luggage. The main house has a large living area, kitchen, and dining room where breakfast is served. There’s also a covered outdoor patio to relax in a cool space. Our room faced the garden and had a couple of chairs outside. The room was big, with two queen‑size beds and plenty of space to move around. A small fridge in the room was useful for cold drinks and groceries. Hot water for the shower took a couple of minutes to get hot. The beds were comfortable. Towels were replaced every few days and the sheets were changed once during our week. When we were awake we left the sliding glass door open for fresh air; a good screen kept bugs out. There was an AC unit in the room, but we didn’t really need it because it was cool outside. Wi‑Fi worked well, though it slowed down occasionally, probably when many people were on it. We cooked a few dinners in the shared kitchen, which had plenty of pans and a gas stovetop with six burners, so you could share the space with another cook. Breakfast ran daily from 8‑10 and offered a wide spread of continental options—cereals, breads for toast, hard‑boiled eggs, fruit, etc. A cat on the property was very affectionate, so we enjoyed petting it. Overall a nice stay; I’d recommend it if you’re heading to Rapa Nui. The hosts were very kind, letting us stay in our room after normal check‑out because of a late flight, and they gave us some small freebies that we appreciated. It’s a relaxing place. With the location close to the main road in town, you can access all the core restaurants, including the empanadas at Hitu. The curtains were a little too narrow for the width of the windows, but we made it work. There’s a porch light outside the room, and when it’s turned off at night it gets super dark, making it easy to sleep.
