Best Western Plus Montezuma Inn and Suites

“I wouldn’t stay at this location again.”

Parking was easy to reach, but the TV was too bright and I couldn’t lower the brightness enough to watch comfortably. When we arrived, the front‑desk person was checking us in while other staff loudly rushed in to get their check; she told them to wait, yet they kept shouting. The shower curtain wouldn’t stay up, splashing water all over the floor.

“Not the worst hotel, but also not the great either.”

The room was dirty, with Chex Mix on the floor and sticky spots on the furniture. Though booked for five, the closet was the smallest imaginable, making it nearly impossible for all of us to hang clothes without wrinkling, and there was nowhere else to hang anything. The microwave and refrigerator were also the tiniest in the room. Every night around 2 or 3 a.m. the TV would turn on by itself for no clear reason. The staff were friendly and helpful, but it was clear that the property’s builders cut many corners and chose the cheapest furnishings.

The staff were friendly and the breakfast excellent, and there were no negatives—everything was perfect.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable; the kids enjoyed the pool while we all relaxed in the hot tub and sauna. The location was excellent, and it has become a new favorite.

The property was tidy—probably one of the nicer hotels in town—and its main‑road location made getting around quick; the lobby was impressive and we were excited for breakfast, so overall it’s a pleasant place to stay. However, the overall experience was just okay; we chose the spot for its price and the pool, only to discover the pool was drained the morning after we arrived, which meant we wouldn’t have paid for extra nights if we’d known. That was disappointing, especially since we couldn’t enjoy another night at the hotel. Additionally, there were not enough towels and the beds arrived without sheets.
