I paid over €100 a night just to sleep in a room full of mold—walls, wardrobe, bathroom. The air was unbreathable, and with only a single window that faced a corridor, we couldn’t ventilate. There was no hot water; the pressure was so low it was a trickle, making it impossible to wash hands, let alone shower or bathe a 6‑month‑old baby. We stayed one night and left because the conditions were unbearable, even with a toddler. We paid in advance for the whole stay, including a €60‑ish city tax for five days, and the hotel refused to refund it.
