“Terribile”
Usually I can point out something positive, but this time I couldn’t find a single redeeming aspect; the stay is one to forget. The property looked nothing like the photos—we booked a bungalow assuming there were several, but it turned out to be the only one, with the adjacent unit used by staff. Four of us had to share a single bathroom that was only accessible from one of the two rooms, which is unacceptable. The sheets were covered in prickly beads, there was no top sheet, just a rough duvet cover that I’m not even sure had been changed. The bungalow reeked of sewage and had only a tiny chair outside. The place feels neglected, perhaps a relic of former glory now forgotten. There was no lighting in the bungalow area (forget the fairy lights in the pictures), and the restaurant seemed closed or reserved for the owners’ family. If you’re planning to use the pool, skip it—I wouldn’t have swum even under duress because it looked dirty, and the two kids there kept making it messier. The garden was miserable, with artificial grass and filthy sofas. I won’t even mention the horses kept in unclean boxes full of manure; in Italy I would have called animal protection. Breakfast was terrible, low‑quality fare I wouldn’t trust; I asked for a yogurt and the lady at the buffet, cigarette in hand, pretended not to understand. It’s essential to have a car because the hotel is outside the tourist zone, on a main road, so the constant roar of traffic is deafening even at night.
