Breakfast was fantastic. The croissants and the fresh braid were great! We really appreciated the hotel’s trust, which let us access the breakfast buffet at 6 am. No complaints.

The hotel sits right between the train station and the lake, yet it stays quiet. The garden terrace is lovely for relaxed summer evenings, and the breakfast buffet offers a great bread selection. The room price feels a bit steep. The spa had just finished renovations and was unavailable, but we were only told this a few hours before arrival. We checked in around 17:30, set up our stuff, and a hotel employee entered our room without knocking, carrying a key card to perform a room check—an odd timing. The building and most facilities are quite old; carpets sag everywhere and the bathroom tap was disgusting, blue‑tinted with heavy limescale, as if it hadn't been cleaned in ages. Otherwise it was clean enough. Rooms and the reception are cramped, and the staff aren't especially friendly. All in all, the high price isn’t justified—really disappointing!

The place was clean and practical.

The interior is nice, the location is good, and drinks and fruit are available on the floor. There was no hook or rod to hang bath towels, and I had to ask for the Val de Joux card.

The breakfast buffet was super plentiful, with everything you could wish for, and the lakeside location was stunning. The service staff were very inattentive; it was unclear if this was due to low occupancy or a general issue. Orders weren’t taken until after 10 minutes, dirty dishes at breakfast were never cleared, and the beds in the Eco room were very soft while the bathroom was tiny. The slanted shower was especially troublesome for anyone taller than 1.6 m, as you couldn’t stand upright. There were no options to hang shower towels or clothes to dry. Construction work was happening right next to the hotel; a booking notice or a small discount would have been appropriate. Parking is a hassle: a paid lot is right in front of the hotel but only allows up to 23 hours, and afterward you must move to the station lot because extra charges are forbidden. The hotel could sell a parking pass for the stay to make things smoother.
