The breakfast was generous with a wide selection. The location is a bit inconvenient for accessibility; in Atami most shops are at least a 15‑minute walk away. The hotel’s entrance and exit aren’t on the typical first floor but on a special access route, which can be confusing and inconvenient. At check‑in I learned the hotel had unilaterally scheduled my dinner for 8:00 p.m. that evening without prior notice by email or any other communication. Because I couldn’t wait until 8:00 p.m., I spoke with the front desk and a male staff member kindly arranged an earlier dinner at 6:00 p.m. The original dinner was at the Japanese restaurant but was later changed to the Italian restaurant’s buffet. I understand that with many guests the restaurant may lack capacity for everyone’s preferred time, and some delays are unavoidable, but guests should be informed of such arrangements in advance. I appreciate the male front desk staff member’s help in resolving the situation, but this type of arrangement should be communicated beforehand.
