“Good budget-friendly hotel in a convenient area, but Wi-Fi and hot water management need improvement”

The hotel sits in the northern part of Lakeside, just a minute from the lake area and about a 30‑minute walk to the Sarangkot cable car station, with plenty of restaurants, shops and taxis nearby for easy travel around Pokhara; the room was a decent size with a balcony and windows that made it comfortable, and the rooftop, though simple, offered a nice city view where you could sit and relax, giving good value for money. The main drawback was the Wi‑Fi, which was very unstable and slow; hot water was also inconvenient—sometimes it wasn’t available and I had to ask staff to turn on the boiler and wait for it to heat up; cleaning was acceptable but could be better; there’s no elevator, so carrying heavy luggage up a floor can be a hassle; and although the room was listed with air conditioning, there was no remote control inside, which I didn’t need because the weather was mild, but other guests said using it might cost extra, a detail that could be clarified beforehand.

Everything was mediocre, and it was a let‑down. The lake‑view room I booked was actually on the top floor; on the fifth floor there’s no elevator, so I had to climb stairs, and the bed wasn’t very clean. The staff wouldn’t offer hot water for a shower unless I asked; I only found out the next day that I needed to request it. The top‑floor electricity was unstable, cutting out twice and leaving the fan off, and the Wi‑Fi was also poor.
