“Friendly staff, that's about it”
The staff were really friendly, but that's about it - there wasn't much else to write home about.
“Didn't respect my reservation”
I was pretty annoyed when I showed up to find out my reservation wasn't honored - they'd changed the nightly rate on me the day before I was supposed to check in. Not exactly the best way to start a stay.
“One night only, maybe”
This place is alright for just one night, but it's a weird spot. Not sure I'd want to stay longer than a single evening.
“Overpriced, underwhelming experience”
This place has a weird vibe - the outside looks great, but inside it's like a graffiti artist's playground, which is kinda cool but also super distracting. The room was ridiculously bare and had no windows, making it feel dark and stuffy, I had to sleep with the lights on and an eye mask. It was the cheapest option in Rioja, but 19,000 pesos still feels steep for what you get. I was only there from 11:30 PM to 6:00 AM, and honestly, I was relieved to be leaving after a few hours.
“Warm welcome, great spot”
The owner is super nice and welcoming, and it's a great spot to crash while visiting La Rioja - they've got a nice internal patio and a pool.
