Hotel Galles

The hotel was in a good location, but that was the only bright spot. The rooms were very old and the whole place looked outdated. The quality was poor and it didn’t match the photos at all. A major issue was the swimming pool: it closes at 7:00 PM, so guests can hardly use it. We were on vacation and wanted to relax and enjoy the facilities we paid for, but the pool’s limited hours made that impossible. There also seemed to be a negative vibe among the staff. The elevator looked ancient – better to take the stairs. The quadruple room was not suitable for four people; you get an extremely uncomfortable folding sofa bed and the room is tiny for four guests. The hotel needs extensive renovation.

Breakfast was good and had something for everyone, the pool always had enough loungers, the parking at the hotel was great, and the location was perfect for us. The only gripe was that the breakfast room felt a bit cramped; what bothered us most was having to find a new spot each day because the vase with the room number kept moving tables, a situation we saw many guests experience and didn’t understand the purpose of.

The location is great, right by a bus stop and a pedestrian street, yet it’s quiet. The breakfast is generous and varied. The only issue was that the linens weren’t changed during the four‑day stay.
