Regent Shanghai Pudong

Large modern room with great views. Great bathroom with bath and seperate shower. Free minibar in room, however the snacks were not topped up for out 9 night stay. The executive lounge had fabulous views of the Pearl TV tower. Staff were attentive and there was a good choice of food/drinks. The executive lounge closed at 9pm and there was no bar service there after 7.30. The bar on the ground floor was empty during our stay and as it was partially open a bit cold to sit in. There wasnt much choice for vegetarians on either of the restaurants

“Hoteleria de primer nivel.”

An amazing hotel with a professional, excellent staff; you arrive and within five minutes your plans for the next days are sorted out. The rooms, pool, lounge, bar, and breakfast are all superb, and the décor shines thanks to the lovely lamps. A 150‑meter walk from the hotel leads to the local malls and the Pearl Tower, in a modern Shanghai neighborhood with several nearby malls. I wish I had booked more days.

“A hotel with tremendous potential and stunning views, but one that currently falls short of the service standards expect”

The highlight was undoubtedly the Premium King River View Room, with panoramic views of the Huangpu River and Shanghai skyline that made every morning and night memorable. The hotel’s prime Pudong location and luxurious feel are evident in its public spaces, showing Regent’s commitment to a premium five‑star experience. However, the bathroom felt dated and could use refurbishment, a legacy of its former Four Seasons Pudong status; guests still expect modern luxury standards. Breakfast was disappointing, with staff often inattentive and requests inconsistently met, turning what should have been a pleasant start into a frustrating experience.

The hotel’s location is excellent, with a beautiful view from the window. I enjoyed the Club lounge access, the delightful view, and the food and drinks.

“Okay for the view from some rooms and the relaxing pool. Would book again.”

The location and rooms were great, and the concierge and some executive lounge staff were helpful. Cleaning staff were always smiling and attentive, and I loved the free laundry service. Breakfast items were repetitive and ran out quickly, and staff got overwhelmed at times. Check‑in took too long, and the staff tried to charge us extra for things not advertised.
