“Excellent.”
I can’t praise this place enough. It’s exceptionally clean, the room is lovely, the beds are great, and the bathroom is fantastic. The staff are friendly and competent, and breakfast is superb. The location is ideal and within easy driving distance of many destinations if you want to explore. Plus, a charming village pub a minute away serves great evening meals. What more could you ask for? 100 % recommendation.
I discovered an absolute gem here; the rooms were beautifully decorated, spacious, and offered incredible views of the firth. The on‑site café was adorable and served a delicious breakfast. Though it’s close enough to Edinburgh for a day trip, the village’s charm might make you hesitate to leave. There were no staff on site after the café closed in the afternoon, but they were reachable by phone and we never needed to call – we were already well taken care of.
“Nette Unterkunft direkt am Meer”
The location right on the sea was wonderful, and on the street there’s a cute pub where you can sit in the middle of the crowd with many lovely Scots, sip a beer or cider, and get something to eat until about 19:00. Our room wasn’t very large, but it was clean and the staff at breakfast were very friendly. The late check‑in worked perfectly. For a BB it felt a bit impersonal, and the stairs are steep.

The spot was lovely, with a bright, spacious, and comfortable room, and the café was delicious 😋. The only thing to note is that you’ll have to use stairs, but that wasn’t a problem for us.
