“A good one-time experience.”
I liked the kitchen; the living room and kitchen were clean and had all the utensils and detergent I needed. I stayed in room № 3, and the bathroom and toilet were separate from the room. The bathroom door didn’t close from the outside, but nobody else used it. The bathroom had everything: toilet paper, shower gel, soap, and there was no problem with hot water. Heating worked, though I turned off the radiator. The neighbors were well‑behaved and there were no security concerns. The room doors locked normally. John was on site that day fixing the house doors, so I didn’t expect any issues. A table lamp in my room worked fine.
I spent a long time searching for the key because it wasn’t in the key box; another guest had left it in his room. The cleaner didn’t do a good job: there were white stains on the mirror, the carpet wasn’t vacuumed properly, and they left me a damp, smelly hand towel—confirmed by John. I refused to use it. They offered to cancel my reservation for free in the evening but wouldn’t give me another towel. The mattress felt like a torture device; every spring was noticeable, so I used a duvet to soften it. The pillows were uncomfortable, so I bought two soft pillows and a towel from the store. They didn’t offer a refund for the towel, just said I could take it home. The kitchen chair could pose a future injury risk. I’m grateful to John; without his communication I would have been very angry and filed a complaint.
