“Good location, rather cramped rooms”

I didn’t get any breakfast, but the only real issue was a fire alarm that went off in the middle of the night; nobody was there to give instructions and we had to call the fire service ourselves. Fortunately, nothing caught fire.

“Disappointing with no breakfast and limited parking.”

The bed was super comfy and the location made it easy to get around Aberdeen, even though the room looked a bit old‑fashioned – that was fine for the price. Breakfast was missing, there was no lift, and parking was a nightmare; I was told to park on double yellow lines outside and ended up doing that the second night. On the second day, the bar area was locked and no staff were around, so I couldn’t sit outside the room. The access door to the accommodation was in a bar smoking area that smelled awful, and the TV in the room next to mine was loud. When I tried to check out, no one answered the reception after I rang the bell and waited, so I just left the key.

The staff were great, but the hotel looked a bit dated even though it was clean.

The staff were warm and approachable, especially Jane and her team; the bar was busy but the noise didn’t spread through the hotel, which was a relief. I’d stay again for a one‑night stop‑off during a family party in Aberdeen, except for the cigarette stubs left on the balcony.
