I had told them I’d arrive at 19:00, so I assumed someone would still be there. When I got to the overcrowded parking lot around 24:00, I tried calling in vain. After several attempts to find a manager who could still assign me the room I’d booked for that day, I decided to wait in my car. At about 7:00 I saw the dining room being set up. Finally, after about six hours in my car, I could get in. Because I had stayed in my small car, I twisted my left knee so badly that I couldn’t do the hiking I had originally planned.

“Was goed voor één nacht; maar niet voor herhaling vatbaar.”

Breakfast was excellent! The location was also great, a quiet spot on a mountain but still close to the city center. The room was small and smelled like cigarette smoke. The bathroom was tiny and the toilet space cramped.
