“Sconsigliatissimo ostello “ripulito” presentato come struttura di lusso”
The place is cheap but nothing like a “luxury” hotel, and nothing I saw justifies the price. I’m not usually one to complain, but I had no other choice this time. The environment and services were shabby, cleaning was lacking, and the front‑desk staff were rude and unhelpful. The bed was uncomfortable and amenities were scarce. Overall the hotel felt like a cleaned‑up hostel presented as a luxury property. I booked last minute, so any delays aren’t part of my review but are relevant context. I arrived and, after a long wait, the manager told me my room was being upgraded to a larger one because the key for the room I’d booked was missing. The new room wasn’t better, it was dark and looked poorly maintained at first glance. Since I chose this hotel for its outdoor spaces, I asked if I could stay in the originally booked room with a balcony. The staff agreed, but the keys were missing and seemed to be with the cleaning crew who didn’t answer calls. After another long wait, the keys finally arrived. In the room, after a hurried greeting from the staff, I went to the bathroom to find it dirty. The balcony was just a window door overlooking what appeared to be a room. The price and the way the hotel is marketed have nothing to do with the services offered.
The hotel’s central location and free parking without a time disc are positives, but there was no full-length mirror.
I stayed only one night before moving to another place. It was impossible to sleep because of the noise coming from the floor above.
Almost nothing was good, and the bed was bad.
“Nardò e Salento”
The location is great for Nardò’s center and a base for exploring Salento. The outdoor spaces are comfortable, but the intense heat during our stay made it hard to enjoy them. The indoor areas are cozy and well‑cooled. The stairs are steep but manageable.
