It was on the beach, but we were there in the off‑season and were almost the only guests; we received no attention at all and all facilities such as the bar and restaurant were closed, yet we still paid the full price. Paying by credit card added another 3 % because they passed on the fees, which is not allowed.

The pool is big, pleasant and spotless, surrounded by a lush garden that’s otherwise plagued by noisy birds, ants and flies; breakfast is generous, the room—though a bit dated—was clean, fairly nice and had hot water, and the staff were attentive yet unobtrusive. There aren’t many dining options nearby (only three restaurants), the “beach” is really just a short stretch of sand that won’t be remembered, but for a night or two it works.
