I found the place incredibly quiet, surrounded by nature, and still in the middle of an expansion phase that’s progressing well. We went on a game drive with Chris, who turned out to be the best driver and guide of our holiday—patient and laser‑focused on what we wanted. We slept in a very luxurious tent and the staff were all very friendly. The only thing I noticed missing was a mirror in the bathroom; I forgot to mention it earlier.

We were the first guests to stay in the new lodge’s tents, and everything was great: comfortable beds, plenty of space, spotless rooms, a good bathroom, and a balcony. If you prefer, you can also opt for a cabin. The surroundings were beautiful with fresh plantings, and the staff were friendly, spontaneous, and helpful. They could arrange various activities from the lodge, and we enjoyed a game drive through Tsavo East, with tasty meals. Everything you need is available. The only downside is that the lodge is quite remote, and if you want to do anything off‑site, like hiking, you’ll need a guide for safety. Also, the lodge is off‑grid and far from Voi.

The reception was kind, and the restaurant staff delivered impeccable service—thanks to our efficient and friendly waitress. The room was original—a large thatched‑roof tent, well equipped and pleasant. Felicia (though I’m not certain of the name) took care of the room’s décor. We stopped there twice, once on the way to MONBASA and again on the return to NAIROBI.

The breakfast was delicious and the location is ideal for game drives to Tsavo. It’s a resort I’d recommend for up to two nights because there isn’t much to do in the immediate area. On the flip side, you’re right in the middle of nature and between hills, which gives a beautiful and calming experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially David, who helped us organize several day trips and even drove us to and from the train station. He also handled our children wonderfully, making them feel at home. We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this place, and we’ll come back in the future! Thank you very much! The eco‑resort’s conscious energy use meant our devices sometimes charged slowly, and hot water for the shower wasn’t always immediately available, requiring the boiler to be turned on on request. This wasn’t a big problem for us and fit well with the resort’s sustainable character. Overall, it’s a great spot, especially if you’re looking for peace, nature, and a good base for visiting Tsavo.
