If you’re backpacking it’s acceptable but very basic. A staff member was friendly and helpful. I expected a bathroom when I booked, there were no towels, and the mattress looked as old as the house.

Backpackers will find this place decent, with a functional kitchen and a nice backyard; the ensuite in my room was fine, though towels were missing and parking was limited. The room lacked a TV, had a small fridge and no freezer, and the front door lock felt insecure; there were also dogs on the property.

A lively atmosphere and authentic Balinese feel, plus a superb location. The bed was lumpy.
