The staff were very friendly, the garden is nice for relaxing, and there’s a lovely shop selling local products. I’d love to return! Nothing negative.
“Pleasant stay”
The property feels cosy, artistic, and well‑located. I met Hashim, who was warm and full of useful information. Breakfasts were delicious, and I enjoyed the birds in the garden.
“Overall, simple, authentic, and full of heart — a place where local charm matters more than luxury.”
What makes this guest house special is Shifath, the manager, whose professionalism, kindness, responsiveness, and genuine care greatly enhance the experience. She goes above and beyond to help guests enjoy the stay and the region, giving practical local tips and recommendations. Her warm, human approach instantly makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. Thank you, Shifath! The guest house is well‑located in a gated area that feels safe and convenient for walking or taking boda bodas, with restaurants, street food, banks, and a supermarket nearby. I also liked the outdoor garden with its relaxed eco‑recycling vibe, the covered communal area, and the artistic touches of local crafts on site. The staff overall were friendly and pleasant. A real plus was having warm shower water, which isn’t always guaranteed in Uganda, and decent Wi‑Fi that lets you work remotely if needed. However, there is no backup generator during power cuts, which can be inconvenient. A few renovations and simple add‑ons could help the place reach its full potential; some rooms and common areas feel a little dated or improvised, but a bit of refreshing could make the guest house even more charming and comfortable while preserving its authentic charm.
Breakfast was good, there’s a nice little garden, and the owner Hashim is exceptionally lovely and helpful.
Gilbert’s incredible friendliness stood out. The accommodation was very basic but had a nice garden. The twin bed was too small, the floor was wet, and the toilet was broken.
