The Mansion

It was a charming spot. The family room was larger than expected, featuring a lounge, two bedrooms, a bathroom, and views of both the garden and the sea, which the kids especially enjoyed at the pool. The floorboards in the room above us made a noisy clatter at night, but the building is old.

The place was spotless, the breakfast was tasty, and the staff Lisa and Paul made us feel at home with a warm welcome and kindness, going above and beyond to fix the issue when my husband misplaced our room key. There was nothing we didn’t like; we’ll be back.

“Lovely wee relaxing break.”

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool and sauna were a bonus for the price; the room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was lovely. The location was a bit far from the city centre for walking—downhill was fine, but the uphill walk was too steep; a taxi was cheap and friendly.
