Thira House offers a lovely, peaceful vibe that’s perfect for unwinding; our room was comfy with a beach view, and I especially liked the relaxed atmosphere of the place, a nice spot to return after a day exploring Varkala.

“Best experience”

We spent four days at Thira House and it turned out to be a fantastic stay ❤️ The location was very safe, quiet, and spotless, which made for a truly tranquil experience. Both Papanasam Beach and North Cliff were within walking distance, a huge advantage for us. Breakfast was good, and I especially want to thank Anu for being incredibly helpful and showing us around. The auto driver, Mr. Anil Kumar, was also a pleasure—he was reliable, friendly, and we could call him whenever we needed a lift, making travel around the area effortless. In short, everything was comfortable, hassle‑free, and worth every penny; I would strongly recommend Thira House if you’re heading to Varkala 🌴✨ The only downside was the curtains; they should be replaced with blackout ones.

The place was immaculately clean and well organized, and the owners were kind and helpful. It’s close to the beach and the auto driver is available for tours of interesting spots. The only issues were that swimming at the beach was not allowed because it was too dangerous, the steep hills around the property made walking a bit of a workout, and breakfast wasn’t available at the time of our stay, though the kitchen was spotless.

Our stay at Varkala Thira House was absolutely wonderful! The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and offers an amazing view that makes you want to just sit back and enjoy the surroundings. Everything felt warm, comfortable, and welcoming. A special shout‑out to Luise and Anu, who were genuinely the sweetest and made our stay even more special with their kindness and hospitality, making us feel completely at home. We got room 101, which was the best, and the aloo paratha deserves a special mention—one of the best we’ve ever had! Overall, it was a fantastic stay with a beautiful property, breathtaking views, delicious food, and the most lovely hosts. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend Varkala Thira House to anyone visiting Varkala.
