We found the price‑performance unbeatable for an Icelandic stay. Though a bit out of town, it was still easy to reach and very quiet. The property has five rooms, and the shared areas—kitchen, dining room, and living room—were generous. Since it’s self‑check‑in, we had no interaction with staff; we received all the information accurately and promptly to get the keys. Parking is available right in front of the house.

The guesthouse was spotless, with beautiful interior design and spacious common areas. Dedicated parking was great, and spotting chickens, cows, and occasionally sheep in the nearby barns was a nice bonus. One of the rooms we stayed in felt a little small, but not terrible; the other room we booked was fantastic—spacious and cute!

The remote, quiet spot was beautiful, yet still close enough to plenty of activities and landmarks. The wooden balcony made a lovely place for morning coffee, and the kitchen facilities were excellent for cooking a nice meal. Sound insulation wasn’t great, but the ear plugs provided in the bathrooms helped, and other guests were very considerate.
