“Disappointing Experience – Hotel Closed Without Notice”

We booked and confirmed our stay at Magic Xcacel Tulum over six months ahead, only to arrive and discover the hotel was closed for two weeks without any prior notice. The owner gave no apology, explanation, or assistance—just a blunt refusal to honor our reservation. We were stranded on a remote, poorly maintained road with no internet or phone signal, and two children in tow. This lack of professionalism and communication is unacceptable. Properties like this must be held accountable for such unreliable and disrespectful treatment of guests. Avoid this place unless you want to risk being abandoned without recourse.

The setting is idyllic in the heart of the jungle, yet close to the sea, in a calm and peaceful environment, perfect for nature lovers. The owner is very attentive and always at the service of her guests. The only minor drawback, in my opinion, is the lack of a mini‑fridge in the room, which would keep water nicely chilled.

“Naturaleza al 100%”

The place is very pretty, designed for those who love rest away from everything. The only downside is that there is no air conditioning, but that was my mistake when booking.
