“nichts für Leute, die sich wohlfühlen wollen”
The place is by the river, the air‑conditioning works, parking is at the house. The accommodation is extremely rancid, there is no regard for cleanliness, renovation, or functionality; it seems guests’ comfort is ignored, all equipment still looks like it’s from socialist times. Even the entrance area is lacking—messy, uncomfortable, with a stale carpet. In the room: a moldy fridge, non‑working bedside lamps and a tube TV, a dirty bathroom with pests from the bathtub drain, the bathroom door was falling apart, many insects in the light, half‑filled canisters with something on the balcony, in the room and in the bath. My bed fell apart after I pushed it off the wall to reach a socket for the bedside lamp. The room door had to be locked to stay closed. The rear outdoor area with the terrace needs major renovation. And… WHAT IS THE MOTION SENSOR in the room corner? (see photo) We couldn’t figure it out—definitely not for lighting! No one ate breakfast there, only coffee or other drinks were taken. Nothing was offered to us. Perhaps there was nothing. I definitely didn’t want anything. There was warm food for lunch and dinner, but we preferred not to try it. We had a bad feeling about the kitchen. We were served by two old men, one—probably the chef—was always in a tank top. It’s a shame the motel is just decaying; this house could be a goldmine. It must have been great before. We were just glad to get out and keep going.
