The bar was great, the old building charming, and the staff were very helpful; the location by the beautiful square was perfect, and everything was fine.
The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean, it had character, and the area offered plenty to do.
“If you are a light sleeper, good luck”
I know this is an old property, but I’m not sure which creaked more, my bed or the floorboards in room 17. It is what it is.

The location was perfect for us attending a wedding. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Downham Market seemed a lovely town with a good choice of restaurants. The bed was not comfortable. The mattress was very soft and the duvet felt heavy. Also the furniture made the room feel dated
