The location was very good. They have a parking lot that locks at night, which is great for motorcyclists, and downstairs there’s a restaurant with good food and beer.

I didn’t like this pension at all; everything was very old and dusty. The old furniture was kept clean, but that didn’t help. My window wouldn’t close. The furniture had cracks and flaking. The atmosphere was smoky and moldy. For Czech standards the pension is absolutely overpriced – I could have had a sumptuous breakfast in the middle of Karlovy Vary for the same money. I arrived at 19:30 and was given nothing to eat, even though the restaurant’s posted hours were until 20:00. The kitchen was cramped and the vibe felt like a pub. The place itself was as dirty and haphazard as the pension. For people who are just passing through, want to relax, and need something to eat, this pension is unsuitable. I set out in the evening to find food, but all the places that sold food were closing around 20:00. There was a döner, but… The furniture, the entrance where smoking was constant, the poor live communication – it was better via Messenger beforehand – the unpleasant atmosphere in the pension and the whole town, the irritated mood when you wanted to buy or order something.

The overnight stay was okay for transit, and there are restaurants around. Surprisingly, there was no breakfast included, no buffet or restaurant at all. It seems the property has changed hands and will be renovated.
