The laid‑back vibe really helped us unwind after the hustle of Perth, making it feel like a mini holiday. The only downside was the keyhole – it was fiddly and took a bit of effort to get in.

Staying in Exmouth was convenient – just a short stroll to plenty of eateries and IGAs, and the room was a decent size with a heat pump, fridge and microwave. We showed up to a chilly room and then had to cross an open courtyard to reach the bathroom, which was miserable in the heavy rain.

“Convenient location, requiring some extra security and maintenance”

The apartment’s boho‑coastal décor and its walk‑away distance to town’s shops and restaurants were a real plus, and the host kept us in the loop before and during our stay. Unfortunately the front door was a nightmare – it stuck, the handle snapped after we forced it, the Wi‑Fi kept dropping, there was no real security, and we had to brave the elements to use an outdoor bathroom that even had a few roaches in it.

Location couldn’t be better and the layout of the place is spot‑on, but the TV signal was constantly fuzzy.

The room felt roomy yet still cozy, and having a laundry area on site is a nice bonus; the outdoor bathtub was a highlight and the layout was thoughtfully arranged. The only gripe was the patio seating area getting sweltering in summer – a fan would have helped.
