“Value for money”
Breakfast was great, the location was fantastic, and the price was very cheap. The rooms feel dated, but that’s typical for B&Bs; it won’t be the best hotel you’ve ever stayed in, yet it’s hard to find a better deal with breakfast and a superb location. Cleanliness was average—beds and towels were very clean, but there were big stains on the doors and in the bathroom that could have been wiped away, and the curtains were hanging off and could have been pinned back.

The location was good, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the promenade and the tower. Breakfast was decent, served by a nice female staff member who also handled the cleaning. The shower was good, though a bit cramped, and they supplied shampoo and shower gel. Wi‑Fi worked, the radiator was on, and you could open the window by standing on a chair. The only downside was a strong smell of cannabis downstairs near reception when I returned after a day out; it was sickeningly strong but didn’t linger all the time. There was some noise from vehicle deliveries to the shopping centre yard across the road, and at night men were lobbing metal bars into a skip, which woke me. Curtains didn’t fit well; I had to use clothespins to close the gap. The room was mostly taken up by the double bed, so you had to squeeze around it to reach the sink. The toilet flush wasn’t very strong and might need a couple of pulls.

The spot was great and the staff were really helpful. I was able to have a late check‑out, which was a massive help, and my bags were carried up to the room. The place was very clean and I’ll definitely stay here again.
