Thornton Hunt Inn

A quirky inn right across from a beautiful church, set in a peaceful spot. The sun stayed bright throughout our visit and we had a few pints on the patio tables. Our room was spacious enough and the bed was comfortable. The shower was straightforward and powerful, with water at a good temperature. The dressing table with a lighted mirror was perfect for makeup. Overall, it was a calm and quiet stay, and we enjoyed the church bells and the two collies roaming the inn.

“The best night I’ve had away from home in years”

What a gem! The food was absolutely delicious and the price was very reasonable for the generous portions. Breakfast was a highlight, and I felt like I had two breakfasts in one. All the ingredients were locally sourced and of high quality. No complaints.

“Breakfast great but shower poor.”

The bed was comfy and the breakfast scored a perfect 10/10. Unfortunately, the shower alternated between hot and cold, so I couldn’t shower properly. Also, the milk was spoiled.

I've had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel on multiple occasions, and it never fails to impress. The rooms are well-equipped and comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and relaxed with the friendly owners, who made us feel right at ease. The quiet village setting is exactly what we like, and we can't wait to return.

“Fabulous overnight stay”

This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way, thanks to its fantastic location, welcoming owners, and top-notch amenities. The food was excellent, and the selection of beers was impressive.
