The hotel features a seafood restaurant serving daily-prepared cuisine from freshly caught fish. Rooms include TVs, direct-dial telephones, and en-suite bathrooms with showers. It was fun staying in a very old house and town, quiet and clean, but the room was quite small; the woman in charge was not as friendly as at other places we’ve stayed, and the restaurant was overpriced, though the food was beautifully presented—the canard at L’Ancre was much more tender and flavorful.

In the evening we couldn’t eat there because the restaurant was full, but fortunately there was a very good restaurant around the corner; the owner had sent us 10 km further away? The breakfast was just bread with jam, no cheese or ham, something we had never experienced before.
