DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!! The rooms no longer exist. When we tried to check in, the staff apologized but explained that the pub is now under new management and the rooms haven’t been available for months; they only serve food and drink, not accommodation. We were left stranded, our trip was ruined, and customer service was absolutely appalling.

The Dog Inn is a cozy, family‑friendly pub with a warm atmosphere, but I couldn’t say I liked or disliked the stay because there were no rooms available when we arrived, even though the site showed availability and let us book. The pub has new management that has no connection to the “hotel” side; they’ve tried to contact us multiple times but the account set by the previous owners says there’s nothing they can do. We’re not the first, and probably not the last, to face this. I feel sorry for the pub staff, who, despite the situation, were kind and helpful and even provided us with nearby hotel numbers.

Nothing as there no longer taking bookings and therefore didn't occupy my room ,c even though booking . Com couldn't be bothered to inform me. See above

The staff apologized, but the rooms we had booked had been converted into flats and no longer existed. Be warned, this property is gone! We were attending a family wedding and had nowhere to stay, missing most of the day trying to sort it out. Customer service was completely absent. If you have a booking, cancel and find another place.
