Secret Place Hotel and Restaurant

The nearby beach is pretty and pleasant. The bathroom was far from comfortable: no mosquito net, the roof was made of asbestos, the walls had holes (as an example) letting mosquitoes in, there was no handle on the shower door so it had to be locked with a hook constantly. The stairs to the room were very steep, making it hard to bring luggage (the staff helped with the carry). Standard rooms look very different from the photos, which was disappointing. The room was small and the fridge was on the balcony outside the room because of the crowd. Walking to the beach takes 7‑8 minutes on a dirt path, dark at night and less pleasant.

“It is a scam, do not book!”

Nothing, this place is a scam. It’s hard to get there, dangerous to go to the rooms. The AC doesn’t work properly. There are no windows in the bathroom, just holes in the wall. The wires in the shower were uncovered. The staff do not speak English, or so they claim (they told us that after an exchange of messages).

“Extrêmement déçue”

The view is magnificent. The room does not match the photos at all – it’s a scam! The bed is not comfortable, the sheets are dirty, and we had insects and jungle animals in the room even though we kept the door closed. The sliding door kept sticking in the handle. The room wasn’t ready for the stay, there was no hot water, not even lukewarm. We had to climb an uncountable number of steps to reach the room, which was very difficult for me as I was pregnant, as I had mentioned when booking. We regretted staying at this place.

I liked having my own little private space, but the mattress was way too hard—never slept on a bed that hard before.

“Je recommande absolument pour une expérience inoubliable !”

The place is fantastic! The staff were extremely helpful, the restaurant was great, and the view by the water with your feet in the sand is incredible.
