“It’s a beautiful place on the Guadalupe River and very peaceful”
I was thrilled that the spot gave direct access to the Guadalupe River, unlike other places that only let you rent a spot or a tube. The property has its own launch point, so I packed a few floats and enjoyed the river’s beauty. There are only three campers: a tiny house and a larger house called Feather Back. The same owners run everything on the Guadalupe River, and the setting is gorgeous. The place was very quiet, and we stayed from Sunday to Tuesday, soaking up the peace. Our neighbors were friendly too, especially those in the other campers. I was happy to bring my puppy, and the leash law was fine because I already keep him on a leash. Walking to the river, my family and I floated down, while my husband and son fished and caught a few bass. The last camper, just before the tiny house, was the most tranquil. The mattresses were thin and uncomfortable, but after we left the owners installed memory foam mattresses, so future guests should find them more comfy. The commode smelled awful when flushed, but I mentioned it to the owners, and they fixed the issue for the next guests.
