I was happy with the spot close to the train station and the hotel’s own restaurant, but the facilities were just basic – the shower was hot and couldn't be adjusted, it was a full on, and the bathroom’s décor was poor. The bedroom looked basic too.

The stay was comfortable and the staff were pleasant. I enjoyed the meal, and the breakfast café next door was really handy.

The location was great, but the rooms were freezing cold and quite run down. A small fan heater was provided, yet there was no sign of electrical testing, so its safety was unclear. The hairdryer, last tested in 2024, was on its last legs. There was no information on how to contact staff in an emergency, no details on hotel facilities, and the bedroom carpets needed cleaning.

The location was very good and the hotel is a traditional pub. The staff were polite and friendly, and on‑site parking worked well. The bedroom was clean. However, the bathroom wasn’t very clean, the extractor fan was very dirty, there was a lot of mould, and the Wi‑Fi didn’t work. The manager told me the bathroom was due to be painted.

The staff were friendly, the location was good, the room was large, and it wasn’t expensive. The décor was a bit tired, especially in the bathroom, but it’s an old building. The TV didn’t work, which was a bit annoying when the bar closed at 10.
