You need to drive there. We had no car and were planning a long walk, but the owner kindly offered a shuttle, which we really appreciated. The guesthouse isn’t far from the valley, and the valley itself is perfect for an afternoon soak and relaxation. The owner’s roasted chicken is delicious (you must pre‑order it), and two people can’t finish it, so you can pack it home and later use it for soup or congee, which is also tasty. After dinner the owner brews tea and chats with guests, giving the place a very personal touch. The only downside was that the holiday was too short.

Only downside in summer was no air‑conditioning during the day (night temperatures around 23°C). The first and second floors had just one trash bin each, and you need good driving skills because they’re at the valley bottom, but otherwise there’s nothing to complain about.
