The surroundings were clean, but the room had no air conditioning even though the listing said it did. In the summer it got pretty hot, so I strongly suggest double‑checking with the hosts that the room you book actually has AC. From what I could tell, my room had previously been used as a dining area for guests. Besides the missing AC, its corner location was inconvenient. During the day you couldn’t open the curtains because people kept walking past in front of the room and along the side, so privacy was minimal. Even the light switches were far from the bed, on the opposite side of the room. Personally, I don’t think this particular room should be offered as a standard rentable bedroom. The photos can also be somewhat misleading about the bathroom: it looks like a private bathroom, but the room I rented, the last one available, did not have the bathroom shown in the listing. (This is correctly stated in the description, so it’s not a complaint.) The owners were friendly, and I explained this to them directly. However, I would not have booked this room if I had known it did not have AC, as it is very difficult to sleep comfortably in the summer heat.

The owners were very friendly, helpful, and sociable, but the room itself was a bit dark; maybe add lighter furniture or lighter pillows.
