Casas Do Moinho - Turismo De Aldeia

We really enjoyed Casas do Moinho, especially the superb location, good facilities, and friendly staff; breakfast was fine, though it was a bit repetitive because it was always the same. The restaurant was also very good. The only downside was that breakfast never varied.

“If you’re gonna stay anywhere in this town I recommend this place. No question. And you MUST eat there.”

The street was beautiful and all the hotel buildings were tastefully designed; I loved the windmill at the end of the street. The house itself had a comfortable bed and high‑quality furnishings, and the terrace was a good size with a view of the pool. The shared pool and dining area were fantastic. I enjoyed the seven‑course meal with wine pairing from chef Hugo, and I can’t recommend it enough—10/10. His wife and all the staff were incredibly accommodating.

“I would love to stay here again for a week!”

A cozy studio that had everything for a longer stay, though we only stayed one night. The pool was lovely and we enjoyed a drink there, and breakfast was good. The common area looked nice. I’d love to come back for a longer stay. The flies around the pool were awful—maybe a few fans would help. Breakfast could start earlier, especially for hikers; the individual service is nice but takes longer than the buffet.

“Wunderbar! Sehr gerne wieder!”

The place was incredibly lovingly and beautifully designed, super clean and had everything you need. I also appreciate the goal of blending tourism with the everyday life of locals. The breakfast felt a bit complicated and inconvenient for hikers; a buffet would be much more comfortable, but it was still very tasty and fresh. More cereal options would be great.
