The spot is great, the staff are friendly and cheerful, and the room rates are usually good. The furniture in the lower‑rate rooms I usually pick is a bit worn but still works fine, and it can be hard to book on short notice because the hotel is popular.

The front desk team was friendly, but the building feels old and outdated, and on the night we stayed there was no hot water.

The spot is unbeatable if you want to be close to Walking Street yet stay out of the noise—there are massage and nail salons, bars, clubs, food and coffee all around, and the rooms are huge. The downside is the view is just an ugly brick wall, which is the price you pay for a quiet room away from the busy street.

I didn’t get breakfast, and the room was very basic—acceptable, but nothing like the photos showed.
