Comfort Suites Benton Harbor - St Joseph

“Fixable but a miss for now”

La ubicación era perfecta para nuestro evento, pero la mitad de las luces del baño no funcionaban, el control remoto de la TV era incorrecto, nadie contestó la llamada desde la habitación y al hacer check‑out no había empleados presentes.

“It was not good at all.”

El lugar no era presentable; la habitación estaba sucia, el mostrador me insultó, las sábanas tenían manchas y en general fue repugnante y decepcionante.

Close to my event. DIRTY BED! Sheets had NOT been changed prior to my arrival. It drew my attention when i FELT THE DIRT & DEBRIS ON MY LEGS & FEET! See pics. Lacking staff. Called front desk (1230AM) for linen change. No answer till i called main #. Desk clerk ONLY ONE ON STAFF & could not leave her position. Went to front desk to get linens. This is when the fun begins. Back to room, removed linens. Mattress pad also dirty. Flipped pad. Worse on the other side. Removed pad. Mattress filthy. See pics. Ended up putting clean linens on the couch & sleeping there. Note: i understand stains. Especially in a facility that sleeps many. SAFETY ISSUE: One small female employee. Both doors of facility wide open all night. In Benton Harbor! She was not safe AT ALL! Made me feel less safe as a guest as well. Indifferent staff. Spoke with manager in duty the next morning. Staff not necessarily rude, but no apologies, and not one offer to right the wrong. Incidentally, my room keys stopped working the next day & had to be reprogrammed. Note: i did specifically request that they make sure everything was clean for the second night. Sheets appeared to be clean. I did not expect a 5-star hotel. I was happy with 'cheap, clean, & close.' This facility fell unforgettably short in the 'clean' category. And wasn't that cheap either. I feel i should be somehow compensated for that first night at least. And not with a 'credit on my next stay' as there most likely won't be one

“They need more staff one girl does it all and the front desk is always left alone which is scary because anyone can walk”

The hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast was decent; the eggs were watery with no flavor. The hot tub had excessive foam, as if chemically off‑balance. Ongoing construction made getting in and out of the property difficult.
