We had an amazing stay at The Dovecote Inn last weekend; the staff were wonderfully welcoming and the accommodation was cosy and comfortable, exactly what we needed to make the visit perfect. Thank you all – we’ll return! The only downside was that we didn’t stay longer.

The location and the room were full of character, but getting into the bedrooms in the converted barn required climbing a significant number of external steps. I would have liked Weetabix to be among the cereals offered at breakfast. The staff were very helpful and informed me in advance that a motorcycle meet would take place in the car park on the first night, which caused no issues.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Some items were missing at breakfast.

The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and the continental breakfast was also very good.

The room was well designed and furnished, living up to expectations, and the location was nice and peaceful for a good night’s sleep. Staff were helpful, friendly, and engaging. I appreciated the advance communication about activities during our stay. There isn’t much to dislike; the breakfast toast was nice, vegan options were available, and the cereals contained lanolin from sheep wool—most guests wouldn’t notice that. They made an effort to provide fruit, a lovely vegan croissant, and dessert, going the extra mile. I would recommend.
