The hotel was fairly clean, located nicely by the river, and had enough blankets, towels, and toiletries; the beds were comfortable and coffee, tea, and a coffee machine were supplied. However, Room #1 had no hot water even after letting the “hot water” run for 10 minutes, so I couldn’t shower; I only stayed for about 10 hours, so I didn’t bother telling management.

The surroundings are great, especially the large green area that slopes down to the St. Lawrence River below. The downside is there’s no restaurant or shop nearby – you have to head to Johnstown for anything.

I’ve stayed here multiple times and I absolutely love it! The bed is super comfy and the place is so quiet that I sleep soundly. The staff are friendly and gracious. Waking up with coffee by the river before hitting the road sets a lovely tone for the day.

Great value for the price. The hotel hasn’t been updated in a while but it still offers the standard amenities you’d expect, and the staff are friendly. It definitely needs a refresh, though I understand budget constraints.
