The interior matches a typical budget motel, and the town’s closeness and mountain view are the main draws. I booked here for the promised mountain and kangaroo view at dawn and dusk, yet both outdoor chairs were broken and coffee cup lids and used tea bags littered the area. I asked twice to swap the chairs—there was a good one in storage and the units weren’t full—yet nothing was done. The room wasn’t cleaned, and the reception had a closed sign most of the time, even when we checked in at 3.30pm; someone eventually helped us, but it felt like we were inconveniencing them. Oddly, I stayed here five years ago and the chairs were broken then too.
