Torre Assunta Masseria

The pool, breakfast and location are fantastic; the Masseria room is spacious with a nice driveway. The air conditioning can’t be set to a specific temperature and must be used “by feel”; the automatic program didn’t work properly even after we reported it.

The location and cleanliness of the premises are good, the staff are friendly, but the pool was too cold for my season and the air conditioning in the room was malfunctioning.

The place was beautiful and spacious, the room itself was well kept. We stayed in the masseria 1 and found the air‑conditioning in the room insufficient, so we had to bring a camping fan. The bidet was poorly installed, missing the drain plug and not fixed securely to the floor. The bar prices were too high – an spritz cost 15 euros and was served in a plastic glass. At breakfast several times nobody asked if we needed anything, like a cappuccino or coffee. For the Ferragosto dinner we waited 1 hour and 30 minutes with only a glass of water. The dinner menu included a welcome glass of sparkling wine, but it never arrived at our table, even though other tables received theirs. The dinner itself was good. The only downside was that we paid 40 euros per child for a tomato pasta dish that didn’t even include dessert. Overall it went well, but for a five‑star hotel some things cannot be overlooked.
