The location is good, but the staff are unfriendly.

I snagged a last‑minute deal for a cheap price, the place was clean, and it was only a 3‑minute walk from my trip destination, which was a huge plus. I also got free tea and coffee, a microwave oven, and a fridge. However, the owner’s welcoming message on WhatsApp was confusing—he said the lockbox was by apartment no.2 but didn’t tell me to enter apartment no.2 to get to room no.3, so I grabbed the key for room no.3 from the lockbox, stared at the front door of apartment no.3, and tried to unlock it with no luck (the room‑apartment both being no.3 caused confusion, and other guests have had the same issue). The lock itself worked, but I couldn’t turn the key. I struggled for an hour (the owner replied late) before I decided to try the lock on apartment no.2 and finally got in. Maybe it was my fault, but it was still confusing. Another downside was that the sliding door in my room had a big air gap all around, so there was no soundproofing at all. Luckily I always use good earplugs, so the noisy street next to the building didn’t bother me much.

The location is great, and there are no negatives.

The location is excellent, the bathroom is very clean, and room 2 has a very comfortable bed even though the space is a bit small; the high ceilings prevent it from feeling cramped. There’s a bit of noise from police sirens and ambulances that are constantly sounding, but that’s normal. The manager is very friendly and resolves any questions. The room and door locks are a bit complicated, but they gave us a solution for everything.

Everything was fine until one day the staff accused us—based on their own claim—that we broke the toilet flush, even though we didn’t. The door lock also didn’t work properly, so we slept on the first night with the door unsecured, which made us feel unsafe.
