“Must stay!!!”
I was blown away by the place—just a minute walk from Kabalana Beach, one of the finest spots on Sri Lanka’s South Coast, and there are great restaurants nearby too. The room felt roomy and comfy, with a powerful AC that kept us cool. Every staff member was top‑class, helping with everything we needed and showing genuine care throughout our 4‑night stay. The service and accommodation earned a perfect 10/10 in Ahangama, and the price was very fair. Breakfast is sold separately at a reasonable rate and tastes amazing!
“Good value for money”
I was grateful for the last‑minute booking. Even though I only stayed one night, I slept well and enjoyed a simple breakfast. I had a delightful Google‑translate chat with the owner, and her smile brightened my day.

A super friendly family. Close to the beach and just off the main road. Quiet spot. Clean and tidy. Great value for money and a local experience.
The hosts were very friendly and the location is ideal for surfing. Will come back again.
The hosts at Chao Beach Villa are incredibly kind and helpful. They don’t speak much English, but they do everything they can to make you feel welcome. The room is spacious and fine for staying. The location is also nice, close to Kabalana Beach and plenty of restaurants nearby. The toilet does not automatically flush with water; after use we had to do it manually with a tap. Because we fell ill during our stay, this was unfortunately not very pleasant. Also the mosquito net has no opening, which makes getting in and out a bit difficult. Additionally, there were quite a few ants in the room. Hopefully these are temporary issues that can be easily fixed, because with a few small adjustments this could become a great place!
