The hotel sits in a fantastic spot inside the ancient city walls, and the friendly, professional staff handled everything smoothly—organizing pick‑ups, recommending great restaurants, arranging massages, providing breakfast for an early departure, and even cutting a haircut. The rooms were authentic, beautiful, and comfortable; the historic building felt atmospheric, and we enjoyed a quiet afternoon reading in the courtyard. Pingyao was fun and interesting; the main streets are busy, but it’s easy to escape the crowds and explore endless fascinating historical buildings beyond the main attractions. I highly recommend it for its excellent value.

Very authentic, a calm street, a welcoming and accommodating team… what else? It was cozy and very clean. I had a great experience in Pingyao thanks to this wonderful guest house.

The hotel’s location is ideal, tucked inside the city walls yet far from the bustle of the main streets. The room is fully period‑styled and equipped with all comforts. The staff are incredibly kind and helped us find a great restaurant and wander the city’s alleys. Breakfast can be international or local, depending on what you want. Excellent.
