The best place to stay in Arugam Bay – the staff are great, the property sits near a beautiful lagoon with amazing views, and I highly recommend it without hesitation.

The location is by the lake. The room is spacious with a large bed and good mattress. The shower has a confusing hole in the ceiling that was a bit unsettling. Getting to the hotel is a rough path; on the way we saw monkeys, a monitor lizard, and many different birds. There's a small shop nearby, but the café is a bit far. We rode a bike, which didn't bother us. The grounds are pretty, a fresh building, and they served a tasty coconut in the morning – that was nice.
