It was peaceful, close to the castle, the food and wine were wonderful, and the hosts were attentive.

The two owners were attentive to guests’ comfort, the dinner was very good and adjusted to the usual full menu because we weren’t very hungry, the wine was excellent and locally produced, the place was finely decorated, and the background music was chosen well and added a pleasant touch.

A truly extravagant Masseria with an enormous, spotless, comfortable, and quiet room. The majestic dining hall offered a generous breakfast of high quality, and the four‑course dinner menu was imaginative and excellent. Overall, we were completely satisfied, and the warmth of the staff was soothing.

When I was told it was time to leave, the internet was down because of a recent storm. I asked if I could pay in cash. I opened my pockets, found all my wife’s cash, and had 145 euros. (I had some US dollars but they were “trouble”). That wasn’t enough, but it was taken anyway, and then I asked if I could pay 100 euros with a bank card. Confused and needing to get on the road, I confirmed 100 euros with a bank card once the internet had miraculously recovered. I had paid 245 euros. The bill that was shown before my confusion was only 227 euros. Aside from that, the stay and the evening meal in particular were excellent.

The décor was tasteful and the interior design impressive. The food, freshly prepared in the private kitchen, was exquisite and served by attentive, friendly staff. The house‑made wine was wonderful. We stayed near Castel del Monte, and everything was perfect.
