The setting and peace of the property were great. The fact that the staircase leading to the room was not mentioned in the description was a downside. Breakfast was okay but had too much sugar from the cakes and other items offered, and there was no fresh bread or toasted bread.

The site was very pretty, the welcome was charming, and the terrace for breakfast was very nice with a lovely view of the countryside; the upstairs room was large and the bathroom spacious. The ground floor was a bit cramped but functional, and the steep staircase required caution but had a good handrail.

Boom Coeur was beautifully traditional and historic, the village was picturesque and very interesting, and it was a great location to stop on our journey south.
