The house is great, located a few minutes from the town, with a good access lane that stays clear of heavy traffic. There are many trails nearby for hiking. The house has all the necessities and the outdoor spaces are superb. The only improvement would be better exterior lighting, as we had frontals and solar lights.

The place sits right in nature, perfect for hiking or just enjoying the lovely farmhouse. It’s winter, so the pool isn’t appealing, but the porch and fireplace are nice. We turned off the pellet stove, and the next morning it wouldn’t start—error message, no fix. For safety we also shut down the hot water heater, and the following morning it wouldn’t turn on either—again an error. Bad luck; it would help to have instruction manuals for starting the equipment, even though we asked for them and don’t consider ourselves clueless.

The setting is gorgeous, surrounded by nature, and the fireplace together with the wood‑stove heat the place wonderfully; the beds are extremely comfortable and the pool must be fantastic in summer. The downside is that there are only two bathrooms for four rooms (8‑9 guests), one of them tiny, so waiting for a shower felt a bit like being on a list, and getting hot water takes a little effort to start up.
